Shred-dawg.

I had my first official guitar lesson this afternoon!

I say official because when I was 14 I taught myself the basic christian-worship-leading-capo using-guitar chords.

I am so excited to be taking lessons with my teacher Barry Kirk. Also known as a 'shred-dawg'. What a talented guitar player he is! He's also super passionate about music and a genuinely nice guy. To be honest - I've always been afraid of taking guitar lessons because it's kind of intimidating but this year I said to myself...

"self - take on the challenge."

Which leads me to today's lesson. So yay! Can't wait to learn and grow as a guitar player. Watch out Greg McKay :) Just kidding - I have much to learn from you sensei.
